Questions about using Geophrase?

Clear answers about delivery management, your existing order workflow, delivery teams and pricing.

Getting started

Geophrase is delivery management software for businesses with their own delivery team. Bring in the orders you already receive, assign deliveries, plan routes and keep delivery proof in one place.

No. Geophrase provides the delivery-management software and rider app. You provide and pay your own delivery team, whether you call them riders, delivery staff or delivery boys.

No. You bring your own customers and orders. Geophrase helps you organise and manage the deliveries.

No. Keep taking orders your usual way, whether by phone, WhatsApp, your website or another existing process. Add deliveries one by one, or import many at once with a CSV.

No. Customers do not need to install a Geophrase app or create a password. Your delivery team uses the Geophrase rider app, while customers can receive delivery OTPs, use your store link, or share an address through your website or app.

Create an account, add your delivery team and enter or import your deliveries. Your ₹500 free credit is enough to manage 62 deliveries at ₹8 each.

Yes. You can invite team members using their own email address and assign them roles. Managers have full access to import orders, assign riders and monitor trips, while adding wallet funds, editing business details and managing team members remain restricted to Admins.

Orders & imports

Yes. Export your delivery list as a CSV in the supported format and upload it to Geophrase, or add deliveries individually.

Yes. Add individual deliveries from the dashboard whenever you do not want to use CSV import.

Not always. Locations estimated from written addresses may not be exact. Riders can still use the written address to find the correct building or entrance.

Yes. You can configure service-area pincodes for manual entries, CSV imports, store-link requests and address capture, or leave this unrestricted if you do not need it.

The order appears in your dashboard, where you can assign it to a rider individually or in bulk and prepare it for delivery.

Delivery operations

Yes. Delivery staff can verify their identity with Aadhaar in the rider app. Your dashboard displays their verified badge, legal name and registered address when they verify.

Customers receive SMS updates when their order is out for delivery, delivered, or delivery failed. The out for delivery SMS includes their delivery OTP and the rider’s phone number, so they can coordinate directly.

The OTP stays the main way to confirm a delivery, but your store can allow riders to take a photo of a signed delivery slip or invoice in the Geophrase app instead. The photo is stamped with the time and GPS location, and riders can add an optional note.

Yes. Imported and individually added deliveries can use route planning when their addresses can be located on the map. Riders can still read the written address for deliveries that cannot be mapped.

Yes. Assign several deliveries to a rider together, and riders can start a batch of deliveries before they leave your delivery hub.

No. Assign deliveries individually or in bulk, or allow riders to claim deliveries by scanning parcel QR codes. Rider self-assignment can be turned off if only managers should assign deliveries.

Geophrase gives you a calculated road distance for each delivery trip. You can use that distance to calculate rider payments, reimbursements or incentives using your own rules or rates.

Download order reports with delivery status and rider details, and trip reports with calculated road distance. Open the CSV files in your spreadsheet for records, review or payment calculations.

Riders can see assigned deliveries, scan parcel QR codes to claim them if allowed, call customers, open directions and record delivery outcomes. The rider app is free on Android and iOS.

No, and that's deliberate. The rider app records the rider's location when a delivery is marked delivered or failed. So you see when and where every attempt happened. For orders with a customer pin, you also see how far the rider was from it. During a trip, your dashboard shows which orders are delivered, failed or still pending. When the trip ends, Geophrase calculates its road distance: from your shop, through each delivery point, and back. This helps if you pay riders by distance. All-day tracking works differently. The tracking app must keep running in the background, which drains the phone's battery. Riders must allow location access “all the time”. And many Android phones sold in India automatically close background apps to save battery, unless the rider changes the tracking app's battery settings. Geophrase needs none of that.

You receive an SMS and email immediately when a rider marks a delivery failed. In your dashboard, review who handled the order, the exact time and location, and the rider’s recorded reason.

Geophrase calculates road distance from your delivery hub through recorded delivered and failed stops, in the order they were recorded, and back to your hub. It is a calculated route distance, not the rider’s actual GPS-tracked path or odometer reading.

Geophrase suggests an efficient order for mapped stops using current traffic information. The route starts from the rider’s location and includes the return journey to your delivery hub.

Pricing & billing

₹8 is charged when the delivery agent starts the delivery. Adding, importing, editing or assigning an order does not trigger the charge.

No. If a delivery fails, you can retry it up to two more times without another ₹8 charge (three attempts total).

No. Google Maps and delivery SMS are included in the Geophrase usage charges.

No. There is no monthly subscription, per-rider charge or monthly delivery quota. Add or replace riders as your team changes, without changing plans. Delivery management costs ₹8 when a delivery starts, with up to three delivery attempts included. Optional GPS address capture is charged separately. Charges are deducted from your prepaid wallet, so keep it funded as you use Geophrase.

Geophrase uses a prepaid wallet. Top up through Razorpay using UPI, cards or net banking. Wallet top-ups are non-refundable.

Yes. Start with ₹500 free credit, enough to manage 62 deliveries at ₹8 each. No credit card required.

GPS Address Capture & external couriers

GPS Address Capture lets customers share their written address together with a precise map location. When customers order through your Geophrase store link, they can provide this address as part of the order request. You can also integrate Address Capture into your own website or app for orders handled by external couriers.

Yes. You can use GPS Address Capture separately with your existing courier workflow without using Geophrase Delivery Management.

Your developer can integrate Geophrase Address Capture using our quick-to-integrate SDKs, without building a map interface from scratch. You can also use the Geophrase store link directly.

Yes. Geophrase adds a short map link such as gphr.in/abgy4r directly into the customer’s address text. You can pass that address through your existing courier or shipping workflow, and the delivery agent can open the customer’s map location without any Geophrase integration.

Yes. Customers can share their precise map location along with their written address, giving your courier better information to find the destination and helping reduce failed deliveries caused by incomplete or hard-to-find addresses.

Yes. If your courier partner provides the location of a failed delivery attempt, you can compare it with the customer’s location captured through Geophrase. A significant mismatch gives you evidence to question the attempt and request a re-delivery.

For store-link orders, ₹2 is charged when you confirm the request. For website or app integrations, ₹2 is charged when a captured address is submitted.

Not as a dedicated plugin yet. A developer may be able to integrate Geophrase Address Capture into Shopify or WooCommerce using our JavaScript SDK.
